Yesterday my wife and I went for a leisurely hike in the tuscan countryside.
Since I had already had a blister on my foot, I was a little concerned, but I needn't have been.
Marco let us set the pace and we stopped often to take photos, as well as stopping for a picnic lunch which we brought and which was extended by my wife using the opportunity to sketch.
In the course of our walk Marco pointed out the tracks of wild boar, and deer, and we see flocks of wild pleasant ducks, interesting flowers and trees as well as Siena - and other landmark sites in the distance.
In addition, since the route was along a hilly ridge, there was privacy along the way.
Although our italian is very limited, communication was not a problem as Marco is a natural communicator, a good listener and a very "simpatico" guide.
All in all our hike with Marco was my favourite day in Siena.

Dear Marco,
we are writing to thank you for taking us on the Chianti Hills hike on March 23.
We enjoyed the walk very much and thought the countryside was very beautiful.
It was so nice to see the quiet villages of Rosennano, Campi and S. Gusmè.
Thanks for arranging the tour of the Campacci winery that was really fun
Thanks so much for getting us to the San Gimignano bus!
